Once you hear the words skin dermatitis, immediately, eczema will come to mind. And you will instantly imagine swollen skin that is red and very itchy. While this is general knowledge, there is a lot more to having a skin condition. Surely, no one would like to experience this so you must always be aware of what can cause these things to happen to you, so you can avoid it. Skin dermatitis is not really hard to avoid, just always keep your skin clean and moisturized. But first, let us talk about the common skin dermatitis that one should avoid. First is Eczema, also known as Atopic Dermatitis.

Though very common among children, this still can happen among adults. Next is Allergic contact dermatitis, which are triggered by allergens that can cause allergic reactions on the person’s body. Lastly is Seborrheic dermatitis, which is also called as dandruff for adults, and cradle cap on babies. All these can cause inflammation, redness, and itchiness.

So how can one avoid having skin dermatitis? First of all, make sure that your skin is always hydrated and moisturized. If you know that you are sensitive to some chemicals or food, it is best to avoid them already. Also, if your skin is sensitive to fiber, avoid any types of fabric that can cause you to itch. For most of the time, avoid sweating. Take a bath daily and use moisturizing soaps. You can apply shear butter or lotions after taking a bath too. Although some say that there is no specific cause for having skin dermatitis, just be careful and avoid anything that might trigger your allergies.
